ING Term Account

Get the best return for your unused cash surpluses

Put your unused cash surpluses in an ING Term Account until you need them again. You can easily track your account balance via your account statements, Home’Bank, Business’Bank or our apps for smartphone and tablet.

    The interest rate is fixed in advance and depends on the duration, currency and amount invested.

The interest rate is fixed in advance and depends on the amount in the account, the currency and the term. It remains the same for the entire savings term. It is subject to 30% withholding tax.

For a term account in euros ?

  • You choose a term between 1 day and 10 years.

For a term account in another currency?

  • For US dollar, British pound and Swiss franc accounts, you choose a term between 1 day and 12 months.
  • For other currencies you can choose a term between 2 days and 12 months.

The interest is calculated from the first to the second-last day of the savings term.

  • For a euro term account, the minimum amount is 1,000 euros.
  • For other currencies, your initial deposit must be the equivalent of to 5,000 euros.

At maturity we will transfer your interest to the ING current account linked to the term account. If the term exceeds 1 year, you will receive the interest automatically on the annual maturity date. You can easily monitor your account balance and interest via Business'Bank or your account statements.

What if ING were to go bankrupt? The deposit guarantee scheme protects your savings up to 100,000 euros. It does not cover anything above that amount, which could potentially be lost or subjected to a reduction or share conversion (bail-in).
Note: The deposit guarantee scheme only applies to private individuals, associations and small to midsize enterprises.

Both opening and managing the account are free of charge.​

Contact your ING liaison officer to open a term account. You will receive the relevant documents by post. Your account will be opened as soon as you sign and return them to us.
