Opening an account

Because you are now in the account opening Help section, you have left our secure environment. If your Business’Bank or Telelink@Isabel session expires, all you have to do is reconnect. Alternatively, click on your Business’Bank or Telelink@Isabel session screen every 5 minutes to prevent your secure session from expiring.

A Reference Account is any one of your existing accounts. When you open a new account, the features of the Reference Account (currency, language, reception mode for statements...) are applied to the new account.

To choose your Reference Account, click on "Select an account". Among your existing accounts, only those which can be used as Reference Accounts will be displayed.

  • The existing account that I would like to use as a reference to create my new account is not recognised. What should I do?

For greater ease, click on "Select an account". Among your existing accounts, only those which can be used as Reference Accounts will be displayed.

The following are examples of accounts that cannot be used as a Reference Account:

    • a Foreign Currency Account
    • an account opened the same day
    • an account with more than one holder (unless you are a Privalis customer)
    • ...
If you want to open a Notary Public Sub-Account, a Case Account, a Mediation Account or a Bankruptcy Account, the Reference Account must also be the same type as the new account.

  • Can I open an account in a currency other than the euro?

Yes. For this you need to use our module for opening and managing professional accounts

  • Once I have finalised the opening of my account, can I use it normally?

If you have applied the mandates from the Reference Account to your new account, this will be visible through the same channels as for the Reference Account. However, it will only be fully operational after 2 working days at the latest, particularly in order to make payments "from" and "to" this new account.
If you have not applied the mandates from the Reference Account to your new account, you must add a minimum of one mandate in order for it to be visible and usable in the same channels as the Reference Account.
To add a mandate, you can submit a request via the "Add mandates" function, which is accessible via Home > Day-to-day banking > Current accounts and bank cards > Manage > Legal entity accounts > Account mandates.
