To find out more about the ING Card please read these guides:

  • Management fees: Your ING Card costs €25 a year. If you are under 25, you only pay half of this price: €12.50 per year. Are you under 25 and still a student? You can apply for a credit card with a limit of €500. Your card will be entirely free for the first year and will cost only €5 per year thereafter.
  • Payments : All your payments in the euro zone are free (hotels, restaurants, shops, super markets etc). The euro zone refers to all the countries that have chosen the euro as the single currency. Outside this zone, your payments incur a fee of 1.6%.
  • Cash withdrawals : To withdraw cash from ATMs, you pay a fee of 4.96 euros + 1% of the amount withdrawn. To make withdrawals at bank branches, you pay a fee of €6.96 + 1% of the amount withdrawn. Outside the euro zone, you pay a foreign exchange margin of 1.6% of the amount withdrawn.
  • Secure online shopping from start to finish: thanks to MasterCard® SecureCode™ , you can pay securely with your credit card in participating online retailers, 24 hours a day. For further details, go to www.ing.be/ingcardsecure.
  • Total payment freedom when you travel abroad: are you planning a trip abroad? ING automatically activates your credit card for international use, which is not the case with all banks. This means you have no action to take. Your credit card is not restricted to any particular region, so you have the freedom to make payments and withdraw cash in any country, completely securely.

As the holder of an ING Card, you have 3 types of free insurance.

  • The buyer's guarantee: purchases you make with your ING Card are covered against accidental damage, street robbery and burglary (for a period of 200 days after payment has been made and up to a limit of 3,000 euros per claim and per year).
Individual items with a cost of 50 euros or more (inclusive of VAT) are also covered, providing they were paid for in full with your ING Card.
  • Internet purchase delivery cover: this insurance protects purchases you have made online with your ING Card. The policy can be triggered if your order is not delivered within 30 calendar days of the first payment, or if the item or service ordered does not match that described on the order form (up to 30 calendar days following the first payment and a limit of 750 euros per claim and per year).
Individual items with a cost of 50 euros or more (inclusive of VAT) are also covered, providing they were paid for in full with your ING Card.
  • Travel accident insurance: this covers trips that you make using passenger transport (by air, road, rail, , etc.) or a rental car that are paid for in full using your ING Card. This insurance only covers international travel for a maximum of 60 consecutive days. You are insured for a maximum of 100,000 euros in the event of your death or permanent disability. You are entitled to additional compensation worth up to 30,000 euros to cover investigation, rescue and repatriation costs.
  • View your balance at any time and manage your ING Card credit card settings yourself, via Home'Bank or ING Smart Banking for smartphone and tablets .
  • Transfer money to other Belgian accounts whenever you need to. For example, you can easily transfer money into your own current account to pay your bills. The funds will be credited to your chosen account within 2 working days at the latest.
  • Pay back your expenses either in one single payment or several monthly payments, the choice is yours! The ideal solution for a more flexible budget!
    • Repay the full amount used in one go. There is no interest to pay if you do this before the fifth of the month after you have received your statement.
    • Spread out your repayments: repay 10% of the total amount of your expenditure, paying a minimum of 25 euros each month. The only requirement is that the amount owing on your ING Card be paid back in full before a certain date, which is defined by law. The balance of your ING Card must, in other words, be 0 or higher for at least 24 hours before this date. You can find the due date and amount of this repayment on your monthly credit card statement. Debtor interest is charged on the balance still to be repaid (variable rate according to the amount of your credit limit).
  • Set the limit on your spending. The standard monthly spending limit is set at 2,000 euros. You can ask for this limit to be increased at any time in an ING branch. If you would like to temporarily increase this limit, for example during your holiday, you just need to transfer the required funds to your ING Card account, which will become available within 2 working days at the latest.
