The ING Green Savings Account is a regulated savings account with unlimited maturity suitable for all. With this classic savings account you manage your savings just as you wish! At the branch, online on your computer, smartphone or tablet or from a Self'Bank terminal. And all without charges! Before you open it, we nonetheless advise you to read the following information:

    You can open an ING Green Savings Account at a branch or via Home’Bank.

    You choose how you save, how much and for how long. There is no minimum amount requirement.

    Either in cash or by way of transfer. 

  • 24/7 Management

    You can easily monitor the balance of your account, at a branch, from a Self’Bank terminal, via the ING Smart’Banking app, Home’Bank and your account statements.

The base rate is 0.01% and the loyalty premium is 0.10%.

The interest rates apply on an annual basis and are subject to change at any time. The applicable interest rate is available online and at all ING branches. If the interest rate changes, we inform account holders by means of their account statements. 

Account opening and management are both free. Sending money is also free. 

You will not pay any withholding tax if the interest on your ING Green Savings Account is less than €990 (for assessment year 2021, income of 2020). This amount is doubled in the case of accounts opened in the name of a married couple or legal partners i.e. a cap of 1,980 euros (for assessment year 2021, income of 2020).

If your interest is more than €990 (€1,980 married partners or legal cohabiting persons), you will pay withholding tax of 15% (for assessment year 2021, income of 2020).

The ING Green Savings Account is a regulated savings account from ING Bank België NV. Belgian law applies.

The deposit guarantee scheme protects your savings up to €100,000 (pdf). If ING were to go bankrupt or be at risk of going bankrupt, you might lose the remaining amount or it might be subject to a reduction/conversion into shares.
