Managing your capital

Track your investments, you'll quickly get a taste for it!

Have you just made your first investment? Or are you already used to investing your money? Find out how to keep a close eye on the progress of your investments.

While checking your investments on a daily basis is inadvisable if only to avoid panicking in during major market fluctuations, it is important to monitor your portfolio on a regular basis, for example, quarterly.

There are a whole host of reasons to do this, but you may just want to keep an eye on your money or make sure that your investment products fit your investment profile.

Quarterly reports, digital channels and priority access to your banker are all solutions ING provides to ensure optimal support.

1. Quarterly report

You will receive a detailed report on the performance and status of your portfolio on a quarterly basis, either by post or via Home’Bank.

This clear account of your investments will include a valuation of your portfolio and the capital gains or losses of your positions.

2. Discuss your investments with your banker

In an increasingly fast-changing world, it is important to be able to rely on an investment professional who is attentive to your needs and with whom you will forge strong links over the years.

At your branch (depending on the current, pandemic situation), by telephone or via email, your ING financial intermediary is available to answer any questions you may have, and to discuss the development and monitoring of your investments. In the current health crisis, we are prioritising telephone or email contact over in-person appointments at branch offices in order to protect the safety of our customers and employees.

If, after reading your quarterly report, you have any questions about specific elements of your portfolio, your banker will provide you with the necessary explanations and details.

3. Track portfolio performance yourself: it’s child's play!

ING aims to provide you with an overview of your investments, at all times.

Using our various digital channels (the Home'Bank e-banking platform and the ING Banking app), you can consult the performance of your investments at any time (seven days a week, 24 hours a day), anywhere in the world and in absolute security.
