Electricity for 40,000 Households

The new biosteam power plant in Beringen will supply electricity to 40,000 households and heat to 5,000 households.

Biostoom Beringen is a new biosteam power station, where energy is generated by burning 200,000 tonnes per year of non-hazardous, non-recyclable waste. The energy produced will partly be supplied in the immediate vicinity of the plant in the form of steam and/or hot water and partly be converted into electricity.
