For the ING Savings Account, you receive a 0.35% base rate and a 0.65% fidelity premium. Interest rates are expressed on an annual basis and are subject to change at any time. You will find the current rates on www.ing.be and in all ING branches. If the rate changes, we inform the account holders via their statement.
There is no charge for opening and managing the savings account, or for transfers. Online transactions and bank statements via Home’Bank are free of charge. Fees for sending statements to your home, at the specified rates in force.
The ING Savings Account is a regulated savings account with ING Banque Belgique SA. Only Belgian law is applicable. The deposit guarantee scheme protects your savings up to €100,000 (pdf). If ING were to go bankrupt or be at risk of going bankrupt, you could lose the remaining amount or it could be subject to a reduction/conversion into shares. Rising prices (inflation) may negatively impact your purchasing power.
As long as your interest is not more than €980 you will pay no withholding tax. If your interest is more than €980, you will pay withholding tax of 15% (for assessment year 2024, income of 2023).
