This account is the perfect solution for money you do not need to use for over a year. You simply set up a standing order for up to 500 euros per month and start saving automatically. ING Tempo Savings offers you a base rate of node=/RATES/TEMPOSAVINGS/TS_RATE;replace=html % and a fidelity premium of node=/RATES/TEMPOSAVINGS/TS_LOYALTY;replace=html %.
You pay no fees or charges on this savings account
Both opening and managing this account are free of charge. Your transfers are also free. You can monitor your account via Home'Bank or our apps for smartphone and tablet.
You can open this account on your smartphone or at your ING branch
Anyone aged 18 or over with a valid e-mail address and Belgian home address can open this savings account:
- via the "Our products and services" menu in our smartphone app
- at a branch of your choice.
Your account will be opened within two working days, so you can start saving right away!
This regulated savings account is subject to Belgian law. It is prohibited by law to charge negative interest rates on such an account and ING will never do this.
What if ING were to go bankrupt? The government deposit guarantee scheme protects your savings for up to 100,000 euros. It does not cover anything above that amount, which could potentially be lost or subjected to a reduction or share conversion (bail-in).
You choose how much and for how long your save
You can save for 1 month, 1 year, 10 years or more. For as long as you like and as much as you like. The choice is yours, just as long as your monthly deposits do not exceed 500 euros per month.
You can always get to your money when you need it: simply transfer it to your current account.
You pay no tax on your interest
The interest you earn on your ING Lion Deposit up to node=/RATES/GENERAL/EXEMPTION;replace=html euros is exempt from the standard node=/RATES/GENERAL/EXEMPTION_PERCENT;replace=html% withholding tax. (for the node=/RATES/GENERAL/INCOME_YEAR;replace=html income year).
We automatically pay your interest into your savings account
You receive your base interest annually on 1 January. You receive your fidelity premium after 12 consecutive months. You will receive this interest at regular intervals (every 3 months) on 1 January, 1 April, 1 July and 1 October.
You can easily monitor your account balance and interest via your account statements, Home'Bank and our apps for smartphone and tablet.
