Do you have some money set aside that you can miss for a few years? An ING Long Term Account may well be for you! This non-regulated savings account is just as safe as a regular savings account but with a higher interest rate because you leave the money on the account for the entire term. You make 1 deposit as a lump sum at the beginning and receive the entire amount at maturity. Interest is paid annually on the validity date. ​​

You know your return from the beginning

The interest rate is fixed in advance and depends on the term of the account. It remains the same for the entire savings term.

You choose the term from 1 to 10 years

The interest is calculated from the first to the second-last day of the savings term.

You choose how much you save from a minimum of 1,000 euros

Choose any amount to deposit from 1,000 euros and above. There is no maximum amount.

We deposit your interest every year into the ING current account or ING investment account linked to your term account on the validity date. You can easily monitor your account balance and interest via your account statements, Home'Bank or our apps for smartphone and tablet.

If you decide to extend the term, you can also leave the interest in the account to increase the yield of your savings even more.

Risk

This regulated savings account is subject to Belgian law. It is prohibited by law to charge negative interest on this account and ING will never do this.
And what if ING were to go bankrupt? The government deposit guarantee scheme protects your savings up to 100,000 euros. The scheme does not cover savings above this amount, however, which could be lost or subjected to a reduction or share conversion (bail-in).

You do not have to declare the interest on your personal income tax return

You pay a node=/RATES/GENERAL/ONR_VOORH;replace=html% withholding tax on the interest of your ING Term Account. This withholding tax is "discharging", which means that you do not have to include it in your tax return.

You pay no fees or charges with this term account

Both opening and managing the account are free of charge.

There is no need to visit an ING branch to open the account.

You can open your term account via Home'Bank or an ING branch. Everyone aged 18 or over with an ING current account or investment account can open an ING Term Account. If you are under 18, your parents or legal guardian will need to open the term account.

If you are already an ING customer, you can open your term account easily and quickly via Home’Bank.
